| William Rast Launches Full Collection for Women’s and Men’s Wear with
Johan & Marcella Lindeberg of Paris68
Los Angeles, CA (November 29, 2007) - Once again, Justin Timberlake and Trace Ayala have succeeded in capturing the soul of authentic Southern heritage and married it with the edge of contemporary Hollywood to launch a full luxury men’s and women’s wear fashion collection for Fall 2008. This extension will compliment their already popular and successful contemporary denim brand. These lifestyle collections are being developed and designed in collaboration with Paris68, the highly recognized New York based independent design consultancy of Johan and Marcella Lindeberg.
Johan Lindeberg, best known for his role as Creative Director of the Swedish brand J. Lindeberg, will design the men’s collection while Marcella Lindeberg will design the women’s collection. “I have always admired the modern designs and sophisticated esthetics of Johan and Marcella Lindeberg. I am really excited that we have the chance to develop these strong collections together and that my vision for a complete William Rast lifestyle brand is in the hands of two of my most favorite designers” says Justin Timberlake.
As strong supporters of Lindeberg’s designs Justin and Trace were eager to build on their relationship with the designer. After a meeting in Los Angeles early this past summer, a mutual admiration between these creative minds ensued leading to talks about a collaboration resulting in a partnership to develop the William Rast brand into a full contemporary men’s and women’s fashion collection.
“The collections will capture the spirit and relaxed confidence of the Traditional South with the class and sensual charisma of Hollywood. The women’s wear collection walks the thin line between accessible tomboy and sensual girly. The Collection utilizes the soul of men’s tailoring, brings a more female friendly and body conscious silhouettes and delivers elements of couture to the world of causal and denim. “My goal is to make this sensual tomboy look accessible and available for confident women who are tired of looking too girly or too masculine, but want the feeling of sensuality from the way the clothes fit and the way it empowers them” says Marcella Lindeberg.
